Under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, Premises Managers must be Personal License Holders. A pre-requisite of this is gaining the Personal License Holder qualification.

We offer qualification courses for Personal License Holders through both ServeWise(City & Guilds) and BIIAB. Both qualifications are recognised by every Licensing Board in Scotland and are moderated by SQA.

Both courses cover:

• Licensing Law
• Associated Law
• People SKills

• Alcohol and its effects

Public courses are normally held in Glasgow and run from 9:30 am to 4 pm, followed by a multiple choice exam.

The cost of public courses is £125 per person + VAT which covers the training, course materials and exam administration. There is a 10% discount available if you are a member of BII
